The Dispute Resolution team is led by Supriya Majumdar, who brings over a decade of expertise in litigation. Previously, she held the role of Principal Associate in Vaish Associates, Advocates (Mumbai office) and Vidhii Partners (Mumbai office), where she specialized in Commercial Disputes and Insolvency and Restructuring practice.
With extensive experience in handling complex commercial disputes, civil litigation matters, arbitration, insolvency and bankruptcy related proceedings and regulatory disputes, Supriya has shown a successful trajectory. She regularly appears before various Courts and Tribunals, including the Bombay High Court, Delhi High Court, Kolkata High Court, City Civil Court, District Courts, Small Causes Court, Metropolitan Magistrate Courts, Sessions Court, National Company Law Tribunal/Appellate Tribunal, Debt Recovery Tribunal/ Appellate Tribunal, Securities Appellate Tribunal, MahaRERA and the Appellate Authority, Consumer Forums and arbitral tribunals.
Supriya’s expertise extends to advising clients across various industries including Indian and foreign companies, banks, NBFCs and individuals in matters of borrowing, asset acquisition, contractual and regulatory compliances. She also provides strategic guidance and advisory to insolvency professionals, liquidators, creditors and resolution applicants in matters arising out of insolvency resolution process, bankruptcy and liquidation. Throughout her career, Supriya has briefed and assisted senior advocates in complex matters before the Supreme Court of India, National Company Law Appellate Tribunal and the Bombay High Court and has also independently argued matters before various forums, demonstrating exceptional advocacy skills and legal acumen.
